Program Description:Inpatient & Outpatient Psychiatrist at Rockyview General Hospital (RGH), Calgary

Rockyview General Hospital is inviting applications for a position in Adult Psychiatry. We are a 650-bed community teaching hospital that has two General Inpatient Psychiatry units, one Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry unit, and an Inpatient Crisis Stabilization unit. We also have busy Psychiatric Emergency Services and Consultation Liaison services (both Geriatric and Adult). Our Outpatient programs include Day Hospital, an rTMS Clinic, an Urgent Psychiatric Consultation Clinic, and Transition Clinic.

Responsibilities/Duties:

The successful candidate will provide Inpatient Psychiatry services within a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and recreation therapists. You can also supplement your work within the RGH in the Outpatient Consultation Clinic, and/or Day Hospital, and/or Consultation Liaison services. The Outpatient assignment(s) will be determined based on the interview, CV, and prior experience.

We have a strong history of collaboration and culture of support across all programs within the hospital. The suitable candidate will be interested in working as a team player.

You will report directly to the Inpatient Clinical Medical Director and Outpatient Clinical Medical Director.

The successful candidate will be required to take part in the On-Call service at RGH.

We would also expect the successful candidate to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment and to participate in the training of residents and clinical clerks.
