Covenant Health, in partnership with Alberta Health Services and the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Psychiatry, invites applications for a Psychiatrist to join the Department of Addictions & Mental Health at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.
In collaboration with their colleagues, the successful candidate will deliver inpatient care and consultation services to hospital patients. This position will deliver inpatient care and consultation services to hospital patients. This position participates in the program's on-call inpatient schedule while maintaining a community-based practice.
The successful applicant will be required to participate in the teaching program and will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. An interest in participating in various hospital committees, sharing in some hospital administrative duties, and participating in departmental grand rounds is also an expectation.
The successful candidate will have an MD and must be eligible for licensure in the province of Alberta. Certification in Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Psychiatry are required.
