Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient and inpatient practice with both daytime and overnight responsibilities for in-patient general cardiology clinical services, as well as ambulatory care consultative opportunities. The candidate is expected to develop a centre of excellence for Womens Cardiovascular Health The extent of clinical services can be adjusted according to the academic expertise and career path of the applicant.
The successful candidate will be part of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute. Current membership includes over 150 investigators and their research teams with a broad range of interests in cardiovascular medicine. The Institute is housed within the rapidly growing Faculty of Medicine that has recently added 2 new research complexes to its already outstanding facilities. Candidates will be eligible to participate in the Academic Medicine Health Services Program (AMHSP) that provides competitive salary support.

Qualifications:
Qualifications include an MD, training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology (eligible for certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada) and an additional training/experience in Preventive Cardiology and Womens Cardiovascular Health and a Masters in Science with emphasis in Health Studies.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
