Covenant Health, in partnership with Alberta Health Services and the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, are inviting applications for a General Internist to join a dynamic medical team at the Misericordia Community Hospital.
In collaboration with their colleagues, the successful candidate will deliver inpatient care and outpatient consultation services to hospital patients. The position will participate in the programs on-call inpatient schedule.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in the teaching program and will be encouraged to apply for a Clinical Faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent with completed training in General Internal Medicine and must be eligible for licensure within the Province of Alberta. The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons FRCPC (General Internal Medicine) is preferred. Physicians with Internal Medicine certification will also be considered.
